Construction of production facility and office building for Cryotec GmbH in Wurzen.

HI-Bauprojekt GmbH: Construction of production facility and office building for Cryotec GmbH in Wurzen.

HI-Bauprojekt GmbH successfully completed the construction of new office space and production facilities for Cryotec GmbH who had previously been located in a rental property in Wurzen. The planning and design commenced in 2012 with construction beginning in October 2013.

The property was handed over to Cryotec GmbH following a 7-month construction period.

The main services provided included building design, technical planning, planning of the outdoor facilities and the construction supervision.

"The challenge for the engineers here was in the introduction of two 25t cranes into the buildings structure. We used a technology during the assembly of cranes that enabled us to carry out the required precision work, " said construction supervisor Klaus Schweinitz.

The construction costs amounted to 3.6 million euros.

New LNG plants shortly before the delivery to Russia

The Cryotec LNG plants serve for the liquefaction of natural gas and they are mainly used to provide rural regions which are difficult to reach with natural gas. This is possible due to the enormous volume decrease during the liquefaction which enables the following transportation of natural gas via tank-trucks to satellite stations. Thence, the natural gas is fed into existing or new networks.

At the moment at company Cryotec in Wurzen are two of such plants in the final assembly of skids and containers. The delivery of the plant components starts at the end of September with the secondary equipment, the tank depot, as well as the connecting system components. Furthermore Cryotec Anlagenbau GmbH plans the completion of the process containers next month, so that this main equipment also can leave the factory in Wurzen to the customer.

The capacity of the new LNG plants amounts 1.500 kg/h for each, moreover Cryotec Anlagenbau GmbH is also able to realize LNG plants with performances of 3.000 kg/h and 6.000 kg/h.

Cryotec Anlagenbau GmbH Wurzen delivered mobile air separation plant

At the end of November, 2012, Cryotec Anlagenbau GmbH has delivered one of its special air separation plants, type ONL 10.

The ONL 10 is a special plant, tailor-made to the client´s requirements and one of the smallest mobile air separation plants worldwide. This plant type is able to generate pure liquid oxygen and nitrogen for medical purposes as well as for compaction of liquid nitrogen to a bottle-filling pressure of 300 bar g, with subsequent evaporation.

In order to make the plant fit for land, sea and air transport, the plant has been completely containerized and a special hydraulic lifting and lowering device has been developed for the Cold Box.

Cryotec as a Representative of EPC Group becomes a Member in the Network: Waste Heat from Metallurgy – Waste Heat to Electrical Power

In the network „Waste Heat from Metallurgy“ nine companies and two research facilities in Saxonia and Thuringia are working together on the hot topic of waste heat energy usage. Waste heat energy is a by-product in the metallurgy industry that occurs in quantities that make a downstream usage profitable. The target is to develop concepts and solutions of turning the waste heat into electrical power by using the ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) process.
