

Currently, CO2-Recovery plants are the most economic method to produce high purity food grade carbon dioxide for beverage and food industries provided. CO2-crude gas in sufficient quantity and quality is available.
CRYOTEC-CO2-recovery plants are mainly designed for recovery of CO2 from fermentation processes in breweries and distilleries from dry ice production processes and from natural sources. The CO2-recovery plants are for automatic operation and require a minimum of operating costs.

CO2 from the fermentation process in breweries is highly suitable for further use in the beer bottling. This ensures that the beer contains exclusively constituents from its own fermentation process.
CO2-gas from the fermentation process in distilleries is purified up to food grade quality and is an attractive product on the beverage and food industries market.
If required the recovery plants can be supplemented with storage tanks for liquid CO2 and/ or with CO2-cylinder filling manifolds.
The recovery plants are successful in reducing the gas losses during dry ice production process. Therefore the dry ice production efficiency can be improved by approximately 50 %.
This fact allows a very short ROI time of the recovery plants and substantial cost savings in the dry ice production.
